This painting depicts the three squares which represents the three main races in this country. The green for the Malays, the Red for the Chinese and the Saffron colour to represent the Indian community. I have used the square to represent that although the squares are facing different directions they are all part of the same and we are fitting perfectly within each other. This depicts the harmony we achieved before and which can still be acheived, although there are differences amongst us.

The golden rope represents the spirit of Malaysians that was born out of the many weaves of cultural and social togetherness spanning hundreds of years…from our open houses to our open hearts ..each community welcoming the other into our lives…

The knot represents the silent promise we made to each other as we moved through time to support each other socially, economically and culturally. Hence the triple knot was used to depict this.
